UNILAG HOSTS NASSM 2014, SEPTEMBER 22 - 26
The University of Lagos, Akoka will host the 2014 Conference/Workshop of the Nigeria Association of Sports Science and Medicine from September 22 to 26, 2014.
The event which is slated for 10:00 a.m. daily at the Conference Centre of the UNILAG Guest  Houses and Conference Centre, Main Campus, Akoka, has the theme: Personal and Corporate Fitness Training in Nigeria and the following sub-themes:
  • Fitness Testing and Training Considerations.
  • Organisation and Administration of Fitness Programmes.
  • Nutritional Considerations in Fitness Training.
  • Personal and Corporate Fitness Programmes and Programming.
  • Psycho-Sociological Considerations in Fitness Training.
  • Personal and Corporate Fitness Considerations for Special People.
  • The Business and Economics of Fitness Training.           
  • Legal Issues in Fitness Training.
The Keynote Address will be delivered by Professor Femi Owolabi (Retired Professor of Exercise Physiology), University of Gaborone, Botswana while the Lead Paper Presenters are:
  1. Professor Rafiu Ogunleye (Dean, Faculty of Education, Lagos State University).
  2. Professor Emmanuel Agbanusi (Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka).
The Conference Fee is N10, 000:00 (Ten Thousand Naira) for students and N20,000:00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) for others.
